Listening to Users, Not Just Music

An evaluation of Spotify’s playlist and social workflows.
Conducted User Interviews and Think-Aloud testing, evaluating playlist management, social discovery, and navigation
What we Found......

Users faced friction when adding songs, rearranging playlists, and accessing friends’ music.

The average SUS score was 53.13 indicating that users found the experience difficult or frustrating. 99.67% of major issues were detected with just 5 users.

An Evaluation of the IndyVitals Website
Conducted user interviews with all the stakeholders of the website such as community leaders, policy makers, the developers and novice users to get a broader view of the key usability issues.

What we Found......

57% of participants found visualizations confusing due to unclear legends, color schemes, or symbols.

100% of participants encountered navigation or search issues, especially when comparing neighborhoods.



Finding Help Shouldn’t Be This Hard

Redesigning the Canvas Learning Management System's Help Section
Designed and prototyped a chatbot-based solution that offers step-by-step guidance, embedded media, and clearer access to help
What we Found......

Only 10% of students used the Canvas Help section; most turned to Google (40%) or friends and TAs (33%) for support.

Our redesigned Canvas Help experience improved the task success rate from 45.5% to 100%, while also reducing time on task by 82% and clicks by 46%, turning a frustrating process into a fast, seamless experience.
